BN: Porridge Radio, Bloom & SUEP

11th April

Porridge Radio

Selected by The Guardian as favourites to watch in 2018, Porridge Radio began as Dana Margolin’s sadcore bedroom project in 2012. Now a post-punk 5-piece, they inelegantly knot together vicious, furious emotional outpour with beautifully melodic pop songs.

After a series of home-recorded demos, and the growing legend of their intense live shows, they released full-band debut LP 'Rice, Pasta and Other Fillers' on Memorials of Distinction in 2016. Recorded in a garden shed, the lofi debut documents struggles with life, love and boredom, and showcases the scrapbook absurdism at Porridge Radio's core.

Fresh from supporting Soccer Mommy, Alex G, Lydia Lunch, Florist, Vagabon, Elvis Depressedly, Shopping, Goat Girl, Dream Wife, Girl Ray, Sorry, and Joanna Gruesome (amongst others), Porridge Radio are currently finishing their second full-band album.

'Astral Space Pop Worthy of Björk' THE QUIETUS

After one 6 piece show nearly 3 years ago, SUEP has boiled down to Gorgie's solo outlet, however this was never the plan. With an aim to build up to an orchestra, SUEP will showcase other members songs and hopefully gain your support and funding.
