“Absolutely hilarious - satire at its best.” – Edinburgh Evening News

Stop! Think before you eat that biscuit! Is it in any way fancy? If so, then you are a criminal!

In Post-War London, the Ministry of Biscuits casts its sinister shadow over every elevenses in the land. Established to
“control biscuits, and to control the idea of biscuits,” it prohibits decadent sweetmeats, such as the Gypsy Cream. Until a secretary-smitten junior designer creates a biscuit to “shake confectionery to its very foundations...”

40′s British Light Music, Orwell’s 1984 and Ealing Comedy inspired this satirical musical by best-selling novelist
Philip Reeve (whose Mortal Engines is now a major Peter Jackson movie) and award-winning playwright and composer Brian Mitchell (Big Daddy Vs. Giant Haystacks). Starring Radio 4's David Mounfield (Count Arthur Strong's Radio Show), Amy Sutton (Bard and Troubadour) and Murray Simon (Quorum Theatre Company).
