Unmasked Theatre present: (Brighton and) Hove, Actually
17th, 19th, 21st & 23rd December
Unmasked Theatre present (BRIGHTON AND) HOVE ACTUALLY, a warming, Richard Curtis esque comedy for Christmas.
Lotte and Toby have screwed up. One stupid Facebook post and everyone thinks they’re getting married. On Christmas Eve. Aunty Jane has even booked her flights from Canada.
Dad’s mad he has to spend festivities in Brighton, Stoned Richard from University has clicked attending and the two families haven’t even actually met yet. Too embarrassed to admit the mistake, Lotte and Toby have a lot of planning to do, a lot of canapes to order and a lot of fires to put out.
Join Unmasked Theatre in their first foray into comedy, for the Love Actually Generation. Come and share a little Christmas havoc and fun.
The company are finishing up a highly successful 2017, which has included the acclaimed new plays, The Writers’ Bloc (‘ingenius new play…. Stunning stagecraft (Source Magazine) and Living With George at this year’s Brighton Fringe, which also saw The Writers’ Bloc’ nominated for ‘Best New Play’ (New Writing South), and a sell-out tour of a new adaptation of The Trojan Women. Unmasked specialise in combining eclectic theatrical styles with haunting live sound and sharp prose.
